W8M8 EXCHANGE INC. (“W8M8”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates a non-custodial, peer-to-peer (P2P)/OTC cryptocurrency-to-fiat exchange service for individuals and eligible entities.

2. You Can Lose Everything – Cryptocurrency Prices Can Go to Zero

• You may lose 100% of your invested money – sometimes in minutes.
• Past performance is no guarantee of future results.
• Volatility is extreme: prices can swing 10%, 50%, or more in a single day.

This is not “safe” money. It is speculative investment. Only use funds you can afford to lose completely without affecting your life, bills, or family. Many users have been financially ruined by crypto investments.

3. This Is an Investment – Not Savings or Guaranteed Income

• Manage your money

4. Beware of Scams – They Are Everywhere on the Internet

Crypto scams cost Canadians hundreds of millions of dollars every year. Scammers constantly target users of legitimate platforms like ours.

Common scams to watch for:

• Fake support or “recovery” services claiming to help with “stuck” funds or “hacked” accounts (we never contact you this way).
• Impersonation – fake emails, WhatsApp, Telegram, or calls pretending to be from W8M8, FINTRAC, CRA, or banks.
• Pig-butchering / romance scams – strangers building trust then pushing you into “investments” or fake platforms.
• Phishing links or fake W8M8 websites/apps asking for your seed phrase, private keys, passwords, or 2FA codes.
• “Guaranteed returns” or pressure to send more money to “unlock” withdrawals.
• Deepfake videos or ads using celebrities or fake regulators.

What W8M8 will NEVER do:

• Ask for your seed phrase, private keys, or wallet passwords
• Request crypto payments to “fix” your account
• Contact you unsolicited via WhatsApp, Telegram, or personal email
• Promise profits or guaranteed returns

Protect yourself:

• Always type our official URL directly: w8m8.exchange
• Only communicate through our verified website or official support ticket system
• Enable 2FA and never share codes
• Verify every message or link before clicking
• Report suspicious activity immediately to our support and the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre (CAFC)

If something feels wrong – it probably is a scam. Stop and contact us only through the official website.

5. Additional Important risks

• Irreversible transactions — Crypto transfers cannot be undone. Wrong wallet address = permanent loss.
• Regulatory risk — Laws can change quickly; your crypto or access may be affected.
• No insurance — Unlike bank deposits, crypto is not protected by CDIC or any government fund.
• Third-party risks — You are responsible for the security of your own wallet and bank account.
• No custody — We never hold your crypto or fiat. Once transferred, it is out of our control.
